If you follow my Instagram and IG story, then you have seen the many, many ways to wear this flannel. I have three Madewell flannels, and while I have never been disappointed with a Madewell piece, these are exceptionally good! They are relatively thick and this one has pockets. I have never owned a solid flannel until this one and I believe that is what all the fuss is about! You can truly throw it on with anything and the color is wow. I have been wearing it for the look but also because it acts as a lightweight jacket and has really worked great with this weather (cool mornings and warm by midday). I saw that there are all sizes available again, and if I could, I would get the other color as well! Both are lovely.

Here, I have used all Madewell pieces to pull together my outfit. And although these all flow really well together, that’s not your only option with this. It seriously looks great with any jean, skirt, tank, and even jumpsuits! I have worn it with all those things.

As always, I love color games! I am not a bright color gal, so each of these are muted, creating a retro vibe that I am loving. Of course a neutral stripe would go perfectly well in place of this blue/tan-striped tee, but I think this made for a fun get up. Getting creative with your pieces is another key to buying fewer items; so you’re doing two things: saving money and expressing creativity.

Two things that Madewell keeps from season to season are these jeans and the transport tote! You’ve seen me use/wear both before and they are timeless investments.

This pair of velvet block heels is the only thing not from Madewell, but they are no less special to this outfit! I snagged these at T.J.Maxx for around $30 and they are the cutest things! It’s a perfect heel for cuffed jeans, and help spice up a sweater (or flannel, obviously) without getting fancy. There is something about them that add a little character to your garb!

As I said, this is a perfect transition piece and outfit to cooler weather. The temperature isn’t to full on sweater weather yet but this gives you a happy medium to keep comfortable! Enjoy shopping the details below!
