Stiped Sweater and Pencil Leather
I have loved all three of these items since the day I got them on three very separate occasions. This sweater is going on three years in my closet, and I am as obsessed with it now as I was the day I bought it . . . for $12. My brother and I found it at a thrift store in Lexington called Feather Your Nest Antiques, the fit and colors were pretty hard to pass up.
You’ve seen me pair this skirt in many ways on Instagram, and that’s because it is the easiest fun touch to any sweater, tee, or hoodie. The pencil style allows you to work with it in several ways whether that be to dress up, layering it with oversized sweaters or tops, or holding it’s own with a simple tee and sneakers.
My booties are something I had my eye on for a while before I purchased because balling on a tight fashion budget makes me weigh all my options and necessary items. I AM THRILLED that I ended up getting them though! They are super weird and I love every bit of it. You get a platform + a bootie + lace-up all in one and it seriously makes the cutest shoe—who would have thought?! These are a great option to mix up your bootie collection, giving your outfit a little extra personality. They went on sale this past weekend and sold out in my color but I linked the other available colors!

P.S. I post and share my outfits because I LOVE clothes. Putting together an outfit is one way that we express creativity and allows us to be completely our own in some way. There are a lot of rules at your job, and school and just life—which we couldn’t function without. But the AWESOME thing about clothing is that there are very few rules if any. It’s one place you can make 100% your own decisions. AND the next best part is that now it is so easy to be fashionable without spending a whole lot of money. I am looking my best in a $12 sweater here :)
